This page documents how consent is obtained for SMS messaging used for internal system notifications and operational alerts.

Use case

SMS messages are informational only and are used solely for internal system notifications and operational alerts. No marketing or promotional messaging is sent.

Verbal consent script

  1. Identity: “Hi, this is [NAME] with Tidewater Quant Solutions LLC.”
  2. Purpose: “We’d like your consent to send internal system notifications and operational alerts via SMS.”
  3. Disclosure: “Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.”
  4. Opt-out / help: “Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance or email support@tidewaterquant.com.”
  5. Consent question: “Do you consent to receive these SMS messages at [PHONE NUMBER]?”

Simulated conversation

TQS: “Hi, this is Alex with Tidewater Quant Solutions LLC. We’d like your consent to send internal system notifications and operational alerts via SMS. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance, or email support@tidewaterquant.com. Do you consent to receive these SMS messages at this number?”

Recipient: “Yes, I consent.”

TQS: “Thank you. A confirmation message may be sent. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.”

“You have opted in to receive internal system notifications from Tidewater Quant Solutions LLC. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.”

How consent is recorded

Consent is recorded in an internal log (spreadsheet or ticketing system) capturing:

  • Recipient name (or identifier)
  • Phone number
  • Date and time consent was obtained
  • Consent method (verbal or written)
  • Person who collected consent

Records are retained for audit and can be produced upon request.

Opt-out

Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or email support@tidewaterquant.com.
